Attenuators are a passive coaxial component designed to reduce signal power by a specific value without deteriorating signal quality. This 10dB N-Type RF attenuator decreases signal strength by 10 dB in both path directions.

This attenuator is often used to reduce input power to a repeater when it reports an “input signal too strong” message, which commonly occurs when a donor antenna is mounted in close proximity to a cellular base station.
